Massive input

Once you have acquired an intermediate level in any language, massive input of reading and listening is what cranks up you passive knowledge of the language.

Eventually, passive knowledge is turning into active knowledge as you will be able to use the sentence structures and the vocabulary you have heard so often.

Examples (and more may follow) of long videos (TV programs streamed) follow here.

Molise, Terra di Mezzo - RAI 5, Al di là del fiume e tra gli alberi, 31 maggio 2021

Monacilioni was a little town in the Molise region. Because of a series of earthquakes and landslides it was abandoned progressively during the second half of the 20th century. Houses fell in disrepair and many have collapsed in the mean time. The website keeps some memories alive for people who have lived in Monacilioni. Today it is one of Italy's 'ghost towns'.

Many former inhabitants of Monacilioni return to their town once a year for the 'Festa di Sant'Antonio' in the second half of June.

There still is an amateur B/W film of a lively town. The streets full of people at the occasion of the Holy Communion of the 12 year old. Old Fiats 500 are scattered along the streets. This situates the film in the 1960's.
