The below video is featuring the big language learning debate. Participating are four of the best reputed polyglots around. The video is (of course) in English, but none of the polyglots are actually living in an English speaking country, though two have it as their native tongue.
Host Aleks is introducing them:
- Luca Lampariello (polyglot from Rome, temporarily residing in Krakow, Poland)
- Stefano Suigo (polyglot from Milan, since decades living in Brussels, Belgium)
- Richard Simcott (UK polyglot, living in Northern Macedonia, and throughout the Balkan countries)
- David Al. Martin (Polyglot from California, but living in Germany)
Polyglots confess about their failures, tell what inhibited their ambitions, how 'life got in the way' and much more. They tell about their learning methods or their approaches specific for a given language.
All these problems or events are also affecting the more modest language learners struggling with their first or second foreign tongue and feeling humbled by these illustrous examples.
The last half hour of this 2 hours video is dedicated to questions from the audience.
